I have many interests and occasionally am inspired to put pen to paper in the spirit of sharing my thoughts with others. I've scratched out a movie screenplay, television commercial script, a few articles, some blog entries and outlines for future projects all with the hopes that someone will ultimately find them entertaining.

With its catchy title and casual tone, this book offers readers education on wine without the snobbish rhetoric that sometimes comes from wine experts. A former tasting room pourer, Haupert heard so many of the same questions on a daily basis, he felt the need to write a book. Where and how is wine made? How does wine get its color? What are the most common wines sold? What do I do with it after I’ve opened it? What foods go with what wines? All of these questions are answered—and more. Also included is an insider’s guide to taking a tasting trip into wine country. Strategies include the best times of day to go, how to sample the selections, making sure to eat throughout the day, and when and how much wine to buy at a tasting.
